Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce
Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce is a driving force for growth and economic vitality in our region. We build a shared vision for the business community so that North Savo can succeed both locally and internationally. We provide our members with comprehensive services for advocacy, networking, skills development and internationalisation.
Founded in 1918, the Chamber was created from a need to advocate, connect and build. More than a century later, we continue the same work across an even broader field. We build networks, produce business insights, support company growth and work to ensure that North Savo is an excellent place to grow, invest and succeed. #SuccessIsBuiltTogether
More than a century of supporting companies and the business community
The Chamber is a voice for companies and actively advocates for businesses and the wider business sector in the region. Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce has more than 850 members across the Kuopio, Varkaus and Upper Savo areas, representing the region’s business community extensively.
Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce was established in 1918 at Seurahuone, which preceded Hotel Puijonsarvi. In addition to companies, our broad membership network includes communities, educational institutions, cities and municipalities. Our member companies account for more than half of business turnover in North Savo. This broad membership base enables genuine influence and diverse networking opportunities.
The Chamber is governed by a Board comprising leading representatives of the regional business community. The Board sets the direction for advocacy and strategic development. Committee work lies at the heart of the Chamber’s advocacy and provides a direct channel for influencing decision-making, policy positions and the representation of business interests. More than 200 representatives of member companies contribute their perspectives, experience and expertise to develop solutions to the region’s key challenges and turn the voice of business into concrete positions and actions.
The Chamber provides members with networks, up-to-date information and expert support that enable better decisions and accelerate growth. Together with other companies, members can influence the business environment in North Savo. Membership creates value for companies and organisations of all sizes, whether through active participation or through the wider benefits of regional development and advocacy.
